I experienced a complete distal bicep tear about three months ago, and a had a 3-incision surgery to repair it three weeks later. There were a couple complications, and my 45-minute surgery turned into three hours. I was in a full cast for two weeks after that, and my dominant right arm completely atrophied. It took me days after the surgery to be able to move my fingers, and that’s all I could move for those two weeks. Once I got the cast off, my surgeon recommend physical therapy, and I started shopping around that day.

After calling around to several different PTs (one of whom my surgeon recommended), I stumbled across All Pro Rehab. It was close to home, conveniently located, and it accepted my insurance. But it wasn’t the only one. What influenced my decision to begin PT at All Pro was speaking with Dr. Rob. He was very knowledgeable, which I appreciated because I’ve never surgery, much less physical therapy. He was very well-spoken and professional, and he was very accommodating with my schedule.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Rob’s for a couple months now, and I consider myself lucky to have chosen All Pro. Physical therapy isn’t fun at all, but Dr. Rob customized a treatment plan within my ability. The results speak for themselves. I have full mobility back in my arm, and my strength is returning. Even my surgeon is surprised by how quickly I’ve recovered. Full recovery can take between six months to a year, but I have to be somewhere around 95%. There is no doubt in my mind that I have Dr. Rob to thank for this.

I would highly recommend All Pro Rehab if you are recovering from bicep surgery, but I’ve also seen patients coming and going from his office that haven’t had an injury to that extent. Maybe their shoulder’s been giving them problems and they can’t swim without experiencing pain. Maybe their hip has lost mobility and they’re not able to perform in their sport. I’m pretty sure now that physical therapy can improve a whole host of issues that I always just assumed we have to live with as we age. Dr. Rob’s patients prove otherwise. I think about all the years I spent in pain over minor tweaks and tears and pulls, and all the while I could’ve had them addressed. Better late than never, I guess.

I fully intend on visiting Dr. Rob in the future any time any part of my body isn’t performing up to par. This guy takes his craft very seriously, and you and your body will absolutely benefit from his passion.

A few months ago I didn’t know if I would ever be able to pick up my cat again, or throw a ball with my 8-year-old son, or write with a pen pain-free. The progress I’ve made under Dr. Rob’s care has been nothing short of mind-blowing. Do yourself a favor and get an evaluation with All Pro, you will not regret it....more
