How Online Visits Work
An Online Visit begins with a scheduled video appointment using a secure online platform. The therapist reviews your history, current symptoms, and observes movement or functional tasks via camera to assess progress. Sessions focus on guided movement, exercise instruction, and plan updates when an in-person hands-on exam is not required.
Before the session, clients should be on a charged smartphone, tablet, or laptop with a working camera and stable internet. Wear clothing that allows safe movement and clear visibility for assessment. Choose a quiet, private space with room to stand and move; a brief test call can confirm lighting and audio.
When To Choose Remote Care
Online Visits are ideal for follow-ups, brief consultations, and progress check-ins that don't require hands-on treatment. They suit commuters traveling via I-95 or Tri-Rail, retirees, and beachgoers who need convenient access from home or while between errands in Delray Beach, Boca Raton, or nearby Boynton Beach.
Remote care works well for monitoring exercise form, adjusting home programs, and clarifying symptoms. However, some conditions require hands-on assessment, diagnostic testing, or in-clinic modalities; your therapist will recommend an in-person visit if the remote evaluation is insufficient to guide safe next steps.
Preparing For Your Online Visit
Set up your appointment details and test the video link at least a few minutes before the start time. Have a list of questions, recent symptom changes, current medications, and any recent imaging or reports available to reference. Good lighting and a clear background help the therapist evaluate movement accurately.
After the visit you may receive emailed instructions, exercise demonstrations, or a recommended schedule for follow-up. If your therapist identifies limitations that need hands-on care or testing, they will advise scheduling an in-office appointment at our Gateway Boulevard office in west Boynton Beach for further assessment.
